Pune: Two co-accused arrested on Aug 19 in the Porsche Taycan car crash were very much part of the conspiracy to manipulate the blood sample tests of the minors in the car, the Pune police said in a supplementary chargesheet filed on Friday with a special court in the city. One of these co-accused is an aviation spares company owner and the father of one of the two minors accompanying the 17-year-old driver of the car during the accident. The other is a real estate-agent-cum jeweller and a friend of the arrested labour contractor — the father of the other accompanying minor.

According to the chargesheet, the two co-accused first met the teenage driver's parents at the Yerawada police station. Later, the labour contractor was present at another meeting at the Sassoon General Hospital. "The conspiracy to manipulate the blood tests was hatched at these two places.

The jeweller had received around Rs2 lakh from the labour contractor," special public prosecutor Shishir Hiray told TOI. Two young software engineers had died after the Porsche Taycan car hit their motorcycle in Kalyaninagar around 2.30am on May 19.

The minor, according to the police, was driving the car while returning to his Wadgaonsheri home after partying with friends at a couple of pubs in the Mundhwa area. The police believe the teenage driver's blood sample was replaced with that of his mother's, and blood samples of the accompanying minors were replaced with those of the spares firm owner and the jeweller in .
