Prayagraj: District police on Monday roped in as many as three teams, including personnel of NDRF, to fish out the body of a 15-year-old boy , identified as Jatin Kesarwani , who was feared drowned in the river Yamuna near Jibiya pahari under the juridiction of Ghurpur police station in trans-Yamuna pocket of the Prayagraj district on Sunday. Inspector (Ghurpur) told TOI that a group of boys were performing stunts at Jibhiya Pahara, located on the river bank of Yamuna. One of them, identified as Jatin, a student of class IX and a resident of Dalwabari village, all of a sudden slipped and drowned in deep water zone of the river.

The police teams carried out search operation on two days, Sunday and Monday, but failed to fish out body. Inspector, meanwhile, said that police teams are facing hardship in carrying out the operation due to the strong current of the Yamuna water. He also added that swimmers were also pressed into service to search for the body of the missing boy.
