The trailer of The Sabarmati Report has indeed created a stir among the masses. It has shown that the film is set to bring forth the story of one of the most devastating incidents in Indian history, one that has rarely been spoken about so explicitly. The hard-hitting trailer has made it clear that the film will reveal some truths about this incident, and since its release, lead actor Vikrant Massey has been receiving threats.

But later about that. The actor gave an interview to Shubhankar Mishra on his podcast. He spoke about becoming ‘BJP-friendly’ after being critical of the party.

Massey said, “People change. I wasn’t the same person I was 10 years ago. I am hopeful that I will not be the same person 10 years from now that I am.

Change is the only constant and I am not saying just for the quote. My perspective to things have changed over the years. But as I said, I am still a secular person.

” He added, “Owing to the nature of my job, I have travelled throughout the country and I meet different people. I meet thousands of people on a daily basis. I also have my own eyes and ears.

So, a few things that I used to think were wrong, today I don’t think they are wrong. Because I think things aren’t as bad as I had previously thought. I travel through UP, Bihar to do small budget films and are set in rural India, I met people there and have discussions there.

I have seen things with my own eyes so I am feeling that things are not as bad as I thought it was.” Re.
