Starting from Al-Namas and passing through Balasmar, Billahmer, Tanomah, and Shaar, the route offered lush green landscapes and natural beauty, making it a hub for domestic tourism.

“July typically sees high temperatures, but Asir enjoys a moderate, cool climate perfect for hiking and exploration,” Mohammed said. Recommended The trek was filled with moments of encouragement from passersby who offered drinks and kind words, boosting Sultan’s spirits. Sustained by light meals and energy-boosting fruits, Sultan maintained high spirits and fitness throughout the trek.

Mohammed Al-Bariqi, 52, is no stranger to long-distance walks, having previously trekked from Asir to Makkah for Hajj in 16 days and to Madinah in 27 days.
