However, there was an offside in the build up.Moments later, they did open the scoring. James Maddison got the ball to Dominic Solanke, who slipped in Brennan Johnson, who finished in confident fashion. It is now six straight games in which the forward has scored for Spurs.Spurs doubled their lead in the 37th minute, and it was a real howler from Bart Verbruggen. The Brighton keeper really should have saved James Maddison’s relatively tame effort from just outside the box.However, it was just reward for Ange Postecoglou’s side’s dominace in the first half.Brighton got a goal from nowhere three minutes after the break from Yankuba Minteh. Destiny Udogie made a mess of clearing a cross and the winger smashed home.More to follow...Under-fire United get point at VillaAston Villa and Manchester United played out an uninspiring 0-0 draw at Villa Park in a game that never truly took off.United had the first opening of the game through Marcus Rashford. Like he did against Porto, the forward cut in from the left and forced Emi Martínez into a strong save.Morgan Rogers had Villa’s first chance, smashing wide after some neat interplay with Ollie Watkins and poor defending.Unai Emery’s side suffered an early blow when Ezri Konsa went down with a hamstring injury, and was replaced by Diego Carlos.The first half ended with neither side coming close to getting a goal.Villa picked things up after the break, with Youri Tielemans having a strong shot saved by André Onana.Marcus Rashford was very lucky not to be sent off for a second yellow with 20 minutes to go, and was subbed off shortly after for Antony.Bruno Fernandes almost broke the deadlock in the 70th minute, hitting the crossbar with a free kick that had Martinez beaten.Villa came so close to a winner in added time through Jaden Philogene, but his shot from inside the box cannoned off Diogo Dalot when a goal felt certain.The game ended in a draw, which felt a fair result, but it won’t reduce any of the pressure on Erik ten Hag.Chelsea fight back to draw with 10-man Forest Scorers: Madueke 57′; Wood 49′Nottingham Forest remained unbeaten on the road this season with a 1-1 at Chelsea, snapping a five-game winning run for Enzo Maresca’s side.Chelsea had more of the ball in the opening 20 minutes, but failed to truly test the Forest defence, who had conceded just five goals in their first six games.Forest’s defensive line was a complete opposite to Brighton’s at Stamford Bridge last week, and it meant there were very few spaces for Cole Palmer, Jadon Sancho and others to operate in.Forest took the lead four minutes into the second half through Chris Wood. Nikola Milenković flicked on a free-kick and the New Zealand strike was on hand to prod the ball home for his fourth of the season.Chelsea equalised just eight minutes later through Noni Madueke. The England winger cut inside and curled home a lovely finish.Forest’s hopes of getting a result took a big blow with just under 10 minutes to go, as James Ward-Prowse saw red for a second yellow. The midfielder grabbed the ball with his hands to stop Nicolas Jackson breaking free, and could have no complaints.However, they held out for the remainder of the game, including 13 minutes of added time, for an excellent point.
