AMERICANS seeking the thrill of a lifetime don't have to look too far. The US is opening the longest zipline in the country, in an adventure park complete with hiking trails. WildSide Park is located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee in the backyard of the Black Smoky Mountains.

It's known for UTV tours, seemingly endless biking trails, and elevated camping. It's also welcoming a brand new attraction — the Mega Zip. "WildSide proudly announces its newest heart-pounding attraction — a mega zipline dubbed the Longest Zipline in America," WildSide announced in a post on their official Instagram account.

NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART The zipline is best suited for the seasoned daredevil, being one of the longest on Earth.

"The continuous line extends an impressive 5,771 feet in length, offering an uninterrupted flight that will take your breath away," WildSide said on Instagram . Most read in Travel "With a total vertical drop of more than a thousand feet, riders will soar through the air at speeds that will leave their hearts racing and their spirits soaring. "The adventure begins from a towering elevation of around 2,472 feet, descending to a final elevation of 1,377 feet.

" The zipline is set to open in the spring of 2025. CROWD REACTION Several lovers of the outdoors commented on the Instagram announcement to share their thoughts. "I had no idea this was available," one wrote.

The adventure park boasts a "rain or shine" policy, making it an ideal spot for any time of the year. For those who prefer to stay on solid ground, there are plenty of bike trails to break a sweat.
