DON'T move an inch in this heatwave — beat it with the world's longest lazy river. The record-breaking attraction can be found at Waco Surf in Waco, Texas . The waterpark and resort features a 5,280-foot-long lazy river, which the site has deemed "the world's longest lazy river (allegedly).

" With a Water Park Pass, guests have free reign on all three of the park's slides, including The Wedge and the famous Lazy River. Visitors can travel down the mile-long canal in an inner tube and colorful floaties. Those who need even more of a break from the sun can head off to one of six beach cabanas.

Make it a memory with included Beach Access, which allows groups of up to eight people. While the cabanas restrict visitors from bringing their own alcohol, party-goers can purchase drinks at one of several bars on the premises. While travelers can (and should) lounge in the calm waters as long as they desire, those up for more strenuous activities will be happy to find diverse offerings.

Attendees can extend their visit by staying at Waco's Surf Hotel. Those who prefer a beach view can choose from one of six "Wave View" rooms. Each room includes a full bath, mini fridge, smart TV, and a Keurig coffee machine, as well as king beds on the lower level and queen beds in the open loft.

For sights of the iconic lazy river and a scenic forest, five "Garden View" rooms provide the same offerings. More lavish options include the Malibu and Trestles Suite, with the former featuring two separate bedrooms and the latter, with a king and two queen-sized beds, more suitable for large groups. Surf Hotel guests will also get first dibs on the resort's exclusive surf lessons.

All surfers and prospective surfers are encouraged to sign up, with public classes available for beginner, intermediate, advanced, and pro levels. Not staying at the resort but still want in on a class? Visitors can still sign up for private sessions ranging from an hour to eight. Those planning a later trip can look forward to the three-day Landlock music festival, which features themed villages, stages, surf sessions, waterslides, and even yoga.

While the 2024 edition of the festival has been canceled , organizers plan to bring the event back in 2025. Foodies will also be pleased with various options, including the Surfside Shack for a quick breakfast and some treat-yourself-tacos, the Wedge Grill for some protein, or The Saloon for a wrap accompanied by cool surf decor. Tickets to Waco Surf start at $39, with access to the private beach club just $10 more.

Parents can purchase tickets for their children at a discount, with prices starting at $19..
