AMERICAN Pickers star Jersey Jon has given fans an update on the upcoming season of the History Channel show. Jersey Jon, whose real name is Jon Szalay, revealed the cast and crew members "are out in the awesome Midwest filming all new episodes" of the series in an Instagram post on Sunday, August 18. His message was accompanied by a looping video of a motorcycle engine, with the caption, "Get your motor runnin'!" The latest update comes after American Pickers' Mike Wolfe confirmed the series had been renewed despite the dip in ratings for season 25.

Mike , 60, praised the show's production crew while confirming they were back on the road filming new episodes of American Picker s in a heartfelt Instagram post last month. The reality TV star posed with Jon, 61, and members of the crew in a sweet, behind-the-scenes photograph shared on his feed on July 24. In comparison, the season 24 premiere was watched by 943,000 people, indicating a nearly 25% drop in ratings. American Pickers follows Mike and Robbie as they travel across the United States buying and selling rare treasures and antiques for their personal collections. Jersey Jon is an antiques expert, with a fondness for vintage motorcyles, who first appeared on the hit series during season seven that was aired in 2012.

Following his debut, Jon routinely joined Mike, Robbie, Danielle, and former American Pickers' star Frank Fritz on their adventures, before being confirmed as a series regular last December. “A born relic hunter with a sense of humor and spirit for adventure, Jersey Jon began restoring antique furniture in his youth,” his official bio on the History Channel website read. The bio continues, "He is an expert in early American motorcycles, and restoring and conserving furniture and antiques are his passions.

RARE TREASURE Earlier this month, Jon delighted American Pickers' fans as he showed off a rare antique on his Instagram account. His followers praised the "incredible" find after Jon shared photographs of a pristine, nearly 100-year-old Indian Motorcycle Company motor on his feed. While the Indian Motorcycle Company is best known for making bikes, Jon discovered one of the manufacturer's outboard motors, a propulsion system for boats.

The perfectly preserved motor was made between 1929 and 1930, Jon told fans in the caption, writing, "This survivor is the nicest original paint motor I’ve ever seen and it’s for sale." "First glance. Thought it was something out of Star Wars," one fan commented.
