Tuesday, August 20, 2024 American Express GBT introduces a new, enhanced benchmarking tool, prioritizing global traveler well-being and offering deeper insights into peer group comparisons. American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) has enhanced its benchmarking tool to provide clients with more comprehensive data, including metrics on traveler well-being and peer group comparisons. Originally launched in 2019 as a premium product, the TMC’s Peer Travel Insights (PTI) tool is now integrated into the Insights platform.

This integration, which includes five PTI dashboards, is available to Amex GBT Select and Neo clients at no extra cost. Insights, a desktop application, allows clients to generate customizable reports. The inclusion of PTI dashboards aims to make benchmarking more accessible and valuable, particularly for smaller clients.



PTI’s dashboards cover areas such as air, hotel, and car rental optimization while offering better visibility into traveler satisfaction. This includes monitoring the impact of various travel experiences, such as comparing business class on a long-haul flight to a redeye overnight flight. Clients can also utilize the automated peer group generation feature, enabling them to benchmark against similar organizations based on factors like industry, employee count, air spend, percentage of online bookings, and domestic economy flights.
