An Amazon team has donated £1,000 to a domestic abuse charity. The Bolton warehouse of the online retailer made the donation to Fortalice, a charity that provides support for those affected by domestic abuse in Bolton and surrounding areas. Fortalice provides a range of services including refuge, counselling, and group support.

In addition to the cash donation, Amazon also donated £200 worth of raffle prizes for Fortalice's annual Ladies Lunch event. Prizes included a GHD styler and a hairdryer. Dan Boulger, site leader at Amazon, said: "Fortalice plays a crucial role in our community, ensuring that victims of domestic abuse receive the support and care they need.



"We are pleased to support the charity, and we hope that this donation assists Fortalice in continuing its work for the people of Bolton and further afield." The donation went to Fortalice, which provides frontline services for victims who have been affected by domestic abuse and violence in Bolton (Image: Henry Lisowski) Grace Wood, fundraising manager at Fortalice, said: "On behalf of everyone at Fortalice, I would like to say thank you to Dan and the staff at Amazon in Bolton for this donation and contribution to our Ladies Lunch. "Amazon’s support is invaluable to a small local charity like Fortalice and makes a huge difference to the people we help.

" Amazon supports communities in many ways, including donations and employee volunteering. They co-founded the Multibank initiative with former UK Prime Minister.
