Amazon's newest Kindle, the Scribe, which was launched in 2022 is now on offer for 22% less right now. If you're an avid reader, then chances are that you'll either already have, or be looking, to add an e-reader to your list of devices. When it comes to the gadget, Amazon's Kindle has remained a firm favourite for many readers.

However, the retailer recently updated its device with the Kindle Scribe - and it's officially on offer for 22 percent less for a limited amount of time. Unlike its predecessor, the Scribe is ideal for both reading and writing, as it is the only Kindle device to include a digital notebook and pen . Right now, you can bag it for just £319.

99, down from its RRP of £409.99 - a total saving of £90 for shoppers. For those who love to read, then you can still access millions of titles in the Kindle store .

There's also adjustable lighting and text options, with users praising the "crisp" visuals that allow you to read whether you are curled up on the couch or on vacation. Boasting the "world's first" 10.2-inch ppi glare-free, front-lit display, the added notebook is said to "feel like writing on paper".

Ideal for all walks of life, whether that be professional or everyday, you can also create to-do lists, organise your notes, take meeting notes and much more. Meanwhile, the stylus-style pen can turn into a variety of brushes such as a fountain pen for calligraphy and highlighter to emphasise your notes. Its "slim" and "elegant" design means it can easily be carried with you anywhere, while its 18 hour battery life is said to be "the longest of any Kindle".

Despite only being launched in 2022, the Kindle Scribe has managed to amass a 4.4 star rating and a devoted fanbase of tech fans who have praised its "elegant" design, with some saying that it has them "replacing" their Apple iPad with the all-in-one device. One glowing review read: "The screen is a good size, just right for reading and writing. The features are great, it includes a basic web browser, which is useful for additional content research. The Kindle software is the same as other Kindle devices, ie excellent.

The notepad side is really good, I’m still learning, but it’s replaced my iPad for work needs." A second shopper said: "I use this for taking notes at work and it replaced an ipad with pen. This is much better for taking simple notes in that the writing experience is excellent and the battery life is good.

The reading experience is also excellent, especially for large format books. However I wouldn't replace my kindle paperwhite for reading novels as it's a better size for that in my opinion. The only thing it falls short of other note taking tablets is that the support for drawing pictures is much less and you don't have the ability to draw shapes other than freehand.

" Smart speakers are a modern day home must-have, with Amazon's Echo Dot being a popular choice. Luckily, the 5th generation of this device has just been slashed in a limited time deal by 45 percent. Usually costing £54.

99, it has since been dropped to just £29.99 - but you'll need to act fast. This sleek smart speaker is the latest generation of the popular device.

Using "improved" and "vibrant" audio sounds, the Echo Dot allows you to listen to your favourite music, podcasts and audiobooks clearly from anywhere in the home. The compact gadget has been praised by shoppers for its "versatility", as you can use it for everything that ranges from asking for the weather forecast to setting timers. There's also a built in temperature sensor to control your compatible smart home thermostat.

Using Alexa voice control, the Echo Dot also allows you to smart control other devices in your home. This can include turning on/off lights, cameras, playing music at a scheduled time and even pairing with Fire TV for a cinematic experience. Amazon's 5th Gen Echo Dot has amassed a 4.

7 rating based on over 31,000 reviews in total, with many shoppers who have called it a "brilliant piece of kit" and a "must have in the digital age". One shopper praised: "Very useful in any home, lots of convenient things I need it to do, fast and responsive and connects to phone and internet for additional connectivity to other devices. A must have in the digital age.

Another Amazon user wrote: "Absolutely brilliant piece of kit! I am thrilled with this smart speaker and its versatility." Don't miss the limited time 45 percent off deal on the Echo Dot (5th Gen) on Amazon here . Someone else wrote: "More like the size of an iPad than a normal Kindle.

It has however a very slim, lightweight and elegant design. The screen is superb and very responsive. The notebook facilities are excellent, somewhat different to using paper but quite close to the "real thing" and with the added upside of being able to erase and highlight very easily.

" One user did criticise the note taking function, writing: "Big fan of e-ink screens. Having been using Notability on an iPad with an Apple Pencil for business note-taking I loved the idea of the Scribe. Hardware is great and the writing experience is remarkably paper like, but the note filing and document import/export system is under-developed for professional use.

Hope to see this fixed in future iterations." Purchase the Kindle Scribe for £319.99, down from £409.

99, on Amazon here . If you're looking for a more affordable option that doesn't boast all the functions of the Scribe, then Argos' Kobo Libra Colour 32GB Wi-Fi E-Reader allows you to take highlight some of your favourite passages and quotes for under £200. However, Amazon's gadget is significantly cheaper than the model it is similar to - the REMARKABLE 2 with Marker Plus .
