Amanda Holden admits she was “chatting” to another man, much to her husband’s “dismay”, during their recent date night, a "rare" occurrence for the busy couple. The Heart FM presenter and husband Chris Hughes went to the swanky Fifty Cheyne in Chelsea, London, on Thursday night to spend some quality time together. Amanda, 53, however, told Heart Breakfast listeners she also took rescue dog Minnie along to the pub on the date, as she didn't want to leave the pup home alone.
It was while the Britain's Got Talent judge was trying to find a place for Minnie to rest that she struck up conversation with another diner. Amanda said: “Me and Chris had a rare dinner on our own, well, I took Minnie to be honest, I took the puppy because I didn’t want her to leave her behind. We went to Fifty Cheyne which is a really gorgeous pub and, oh my god, the food is amazing there and they’re lovely in there.
“We sat down and I noticed that, next to me, there was a man on his own. And I was going to put Minnie’s carrier right there and I started interacting. “Straight away I was like ‘you’re not allergic to dogs, are you? Because I’m going to put the dog.
..’ and he was so lovely and was like, ‘no’, so I was chatting away, much to Chris’s dismay.
I do talk to people.” Amanda revealed the man turned out to be on a date with someone he had met on an app. As time went on, both Chris and Amanda found themselves invested in the man’s date, hoping he hadn’t been .
