This groundbreaking train will connect Mumbai and Ahmedabad, spanning a distance of 508 kilometers. Indian Railways is considering the introduction of a domestic bullet train, potentially featuring Shinkansen technology from Japan. Although the decision on acquiring these high-speed trains is yet to be finalized, the proposed train is anticipated to reach speeds of up to 280 km/h on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route. This advancement could cut the travel time from 6-7 hours to a mere 2 hours.

According to reports, the project is expected to be completed by 2026.
