As we bid farewell to summer and begin to layer up for the autumn and winter months, there's plenty going on in the city to keep us occupied. And one upside to the grey skies and cooler temperatures is that at least there's plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes to seek refuge in. Last month, we tucked into luxurious plates of pasta at Louis, Vietnamese street food from Hop, and steaks and chops galore at Blacklock - but we're still hungry for more and, fortunately, there's plenty more to look forward to over the next few weeks and months.
The steady stream of openings continues and this month will see a brand new smashed burger concept in the Northern Quarter, Detroit-style pizza from the team behind Diecast and plenty of Spanish cuisine, courtesy of a Basque-style restaurant opening near the Town Hall. Slipping in at the end of September too, there's fine-dining flair from the team at Rochdale Town Hall's new site and vegan takes on classic junk food to enjoy at the reimagined Wholesome Junkies.
