Boeing has released its numbers for how many military and civilian aircraft were delivered in 2024. Boeing is one of the largest defense contractors in the world, with its business more or less evenly split between its commercial interests (mostly commercial passenger jets) and military contracts (mostly military aircraft). 2024 was a challenging year for Boeing ( it only delivered 348 commercial passenger jets ), although Israel also signed a contract to purchase 25 F-15EX Strike Eagle IIs (likely the final Eagle variant).
These are the military aircraft Boeing managed to deliver in 2024. Boeing's 2024 fighter jet deliveries Boeing is currently producing two types of fighter jets: the Air Force's new F-15EX Strike Eagle II and the US Navy's F/A-18 Super Hornet. The F-22 Raptor had been intended to replace the aging F-15 Eagle, but its early cancellation (with only 187 serial production models produced) meant that the Raptor only partially replaced the Eagle.
The Air Force then fell back on the Eagle, updating it to the much more capable and modernized F-15EX Strike Eagle II. The United States Air Force plans to procure around 100 of these fighter jets, while Israel is ordering 25 of the variant. Qatar and Saudi Arabia also operate related variant Strike Eagle IIs.
