The Good Food Awards has published its 2024/2025 guide to the best places to eat around the UK. Judged on a combination of food hygiene ratings, customer reviews and votes, the awards are free to enter, and celebrate "the hard-working teams who strive for culinary excellence within their field". There were five categories: fine dining: cafes, bistros, sandwich shops, coffee houses & tea rooms; fish & chip shops and restaurants; takeaways; and gastro pubs and inns, taverns or pubs serving food.
The best win a Gold Seal, with highly commended entrants receiving a Blue Ribbon. Here are the north London favourites that won, sorted by category. Taste of Nawab , which has been serving Indian and Bengali food in Colney Hatch Lane, Muswell Hill, for 28 years, won a Gold Seal.
