Don’t miss the Ancient Greek spa treatments, daily sound baths and the Michelin-starred restaurant. Make like Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman and head for a weekend of indulgence in Casablanca.

Not many hotels rival the extravagance of Marrakech’s Royal Mansour, so naturally its new location drips in gold and glamour with 1950s art deco finishes and yes, comes complete with full-size ballrooms. Breathe out and hit unwind at this sun-soaked new hotel, nestled into the sand dunes of this sleepy Balearic Island. From the team behind Cap Rocat in Mallorca, this 44-room property on Migjorn Beach arrives in the spring, and will offer simplicity and great design with a focus on natural textures in furnishing and architecture that finds all the best light.

With an infinity pool and warm seas within skipping distance – you'll leave stress at the door. The owners of much-loved La Fantaisie in Paris are now opening Casa Monti, a new 36-room hotel hidden in the arty neighborhood of Rione Monti (a 10-minute walk from Termini station). The hotel has plenty of creative vibes: designed by Laura Gonzalez, the interiors feature maximalist flocked wallpaper and plenty of contemporary artworks across the 36 rooms to keep you inspired.

Don't skip cocktail hour on the new rooftop bar. Head to the latest opening from the Pig Group, coming in the autumn. A listed 16th-century Manor House set in 53 acres of verdant countryside near Shakespeare's home town, offering 35 idyllic ensuite bedrooms, the requisite 25-mile menu and three shepherd’s-hut treatment rooms.

Pull up your wellies to end 2024 with a bang. Overlooking Prinsengracht, the city’s most famous canal, this newest member of the Rosewood Group makes for the ultimate weekend retreat. With 134 rooms, three restaurants, landscaped courtyards and luscious gardens, and just a short bike ride from the museum district and hip De Pijp neighbourhood, it has everything a minibreak might need.

Check in hungry at Aman’s new little sister hotel brand Janu in Tokyo: it offers no fewer than six restaurants (including two Japanese spots and one serving Cantonese specialties). Opening in March 2024, it lies within walking distance of a much admired new landscaped park. After successfully pulling in London’s It-crowd, The Twenty Two team will head across the Pond this spring for a new opening in NYC’s Union Square.

With 77 stylishly designed bedrooms, and a private club and restaurant, you can guarantee this will be a place to be seen this year Holiday like Shiv Roy and head to Mahé Island for the all-new quiet-luxury hotspot Cheval Blanc, opening this autumn.
