Capsule and pod hotels are the new emerging travel trends in today's world. They offer compact, individual sleeping spaces on a budget. This type of hotel originated in Japan as a cheap, basic option for overnight accommodation for business professionals.

This trend travelled to India and has gathered popularity. Travel vlogger Somya shared her experience at NapTapGo- a capsule hotel in Noida Sector 62 but it was only until Mahindra Chairperson Anand Mahindra that this concept hotel got the attention. In a thread on X (formerly Twitter), Somya posted pictures of the hotel's facilities and gave a sneak peek of the pod-style accommodations.



She revealed that she stayed in a pod featuring a single bed, charging ports and an entertainment screen with other basic amenities.
