Alia Bhatt 's sari collection is the stuff of dreams. Her Manish Malhotra chiffon saris in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani were reminiscent of the 90s heroines dancing in Switzerland in Yash Chopra's films – iconic. More recently, for the opening of the Raj Kapoor Film Festival, which began in Mumbai on Friday to celebrate Raj Kapoor’s 100th birth anniversary, Bhatt wore a custom white Sabyasachi sari.
The sari featured pastel floral and leafy prints, and a muted lavender and pink border. Her ensemble evoked nostalgia, transporting us to Raj Kapoor’s golden era. True to her minimalist style, she accessorised with a just delicate pearl choker , adorned with an emerald at the centre by Sabyasachi Jewellery.
