Wednesday, August 28, 2024 Alhind Group is ready to revolutionize South India skies with the launch of its new airline, Alhind Air, set to take off in 2024. Alhind Group, a prominent player in the travel services industry, has received the green light from India’s Civil Aviation Ministry to establish its own airline, Alhind Air. This strategic move marks the group’s entry into the competitive aviation sector, aiming to cater to the growing demand for air travel in the region.

The airline is targeting a launch by the end of the year, contingent upon securing a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Civil Aviation Ministry. Additionally, Alhind Air will need to obtain an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Director General of Civil Aviation to commence operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and safety standards. Alhind Air’s initial focus will be on enhancing connectivity among regional airports in South India.

The airline plans to kick off its services with flights connecting key routes such as Kochi to Bengaluru and Thiruvananthapuram to Chennai. Following the successful establishment of these routes, Alhind Air intends to broaden its network to include other major cities across India and eventually venture into international markets. To support its regional operations, Alhind Air will begin with a fleet of three ATR-72 aircraft, known for their efficiency on short-haul routes.

As the airline grows and expands its route network, it plans to introduce Airbus A320 aircraft, which are better suited for longer domestic flights and international services. This ambitious initiative by Alhind Group demonstrates its commitment to enhancing regional air travel options and tapping into the international aviation market. With strategic planning and phased expansion, Alhind Air aims to establish itself as a key player in India’s aviation sector, offering reliable and convenient travel options to passengers.
