The grocery chain is expanding its Special Buys offering to include holiday packages in a first for supermarkets Down Under - and it's set to shake up the travel industry. Customers can expect to find great deals via Aldi Holidays online portal from Wednesday, October 2.

From just $449 per person, Aldi's first drop of packages include picturesque escapes, from Surfers Paradise and The Whitsundays to Fiji , Thailand or Hawaii . Holidaymakers can plan their next trip with cruises around the Pacific Islands or Japan , as well as a range of 10-day tour options and adventures to South Africa , Europe or China . Bringing value to the travel category, the deals will offer add-on options including room upgrades, tours, customisable experiences and flights at some of the most sought-after holiday destinations around the world.
