Thursday, January 23, 2025 Alaska Airlines rewards its team with an extra six weeks of pay after a standout year, celebrating remarkable employee performance. The year 2024 marked a turning point for the 23,000-strong workforce of Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. Following the grounding of a third of our mainline fleet due to the challenges encountered by flight 1282, we faced great uncertainty.

Despite these obstacles, our dedicated teams upheld their commitment to safety and managed to bring Alaska Airlines back to its renowned standard of reliability. We not only navigated through considerable challenges but also emerged as one of our strongest yet by year’s end. Our pride was immense as we concluded the year with a record-breaking reward for our employees through our Performance-Based Pay (PBP) program, distributing over 11% of additional pay, equivalent to roughly six weeks of pay.
