Alan Titchmarsh 'cried in his room' and 'never told anyone' as he opens up on bullying

Alan Titchmarsh made a heartbreaking admission about his childhood when chatting to Jake Humphrey on Love Your Weekend. The pair were chatting about Jake's anxiety when Alan was put on the spot and asked about whether he had ever suffered from it. Jake told Alan: "We're all comparing our real lives to other people's edited highlights reels, and I think that's super dangerous.

"But we all have anxieties...

"You know, it's part of growing up, and we can't shield children from everything. There's no excuse for bullying at all. "But, yeah, I was you know, bullied, and if you can find something you love and come to terms with who you are, I was a classic late developer.

" "This isn't about me, it's about you," Alan pointed out as Jake replied: "It is interesting." Elsewhere in the programme, Alan spoke with Gavin and Stacey star Joanna Page about her links to the Royal Family, which is when she made a cheeky admission: "I might get arrested." "I performed in front of Prince Charles and Princess Margaret in Buckingham Palace.
