Saturday, August 3, 2024 Al Muntazah Park, adorned with wild ghaff, samar, sidra, and vibrant trees draped in golden yellow blossoms, is set to reopen soon, offering a stunning experience for the residents of Doha. Known as Rawdat Al Khail Park, Al Muntazah is one of Doha’s oldest and most expansive parks, situated in the heart of the city. For the past few years, public access has been restricted due to ongoing renovations, but the park is now being revitalized by the Public Works Authority (Ashghal).

Located along C-Ring Road, the newly redesigned park will offer a wealth of social, environmental, and recreational benefits, complete with various facilities to meet the needs of visitors of all ages, all within a lush, green environment. Spanning 140,000 square meters, the park features a 105,000 square meter green area with over 1,000 trees, more than 1,300 meters of walking paths, and ample parking space. The existing trees have been thoughtfully incorporated into the park’s new design, enhancing its greenery and providing natural shade for visitors.

The park’s “captivating design” is expected to draw both locals and tourists, thanks to its expansive green spaces and trees that have thrived for over 15 years. Trees within the park, showcasing golden yellow flowers, have already become a social media sensation among Doha residents, who are eagerly anticipating the park’s reopening. With improved road access and a variety of nearby dining options, the park is poised to become a favorite spot for entertainment and relaxation for Doha’s residents and a delightful visual retreat for tourists staying in nearby hotels.
