Prayagraj: Different Akharas have started announcing their schedule for Maha Kumbh . Among the 13 akharas, Mahanirvani Akhara , located in Daraganj, has announced its schedule. This Akhara will perform Bhoomi Pujan on Dec 6, while on Dec 22, the Akhara will enter the city through Nagar Chawani Aagman Shobha Yatra.
On Jan 2, the Akhara will enter the mela area. At the same time, the pratham (first) Amrit Snan (Shahi Snan) will be on Jan 14, the second one on Jan 29, and the third on Feb 3. Akhara secretary, Srimahant Jamunapuri said that the sequence from Bhoomi Pujan to Amrit Snan has been decided.
Likewise, the Niranjani and Juna Akharas have also released their programmes regarding Maha Kumbh. Niranjani Akhara's programme has been released by Mahant Ravindra Puri, secretary of Niranjani Akhara and president of All India Akhara Parishad. On Dec 20, all Naga sanyasis of the Ramta Panch of the Akhara will reach Prayagraj.
From here, the Dharma Dhwaj will be established on Dec 30 under the leadership of the saints. On Jan 4, the procession will enter the mela (Chawani). The Naya Udasin Akhara has also released its programme.
The Dharma Dhwaj will be established on Jan 8, while the city entry will be on Jan 10. Meanwhile, the process of removing Urdu words used for the entry and bath of Akharas in Maha Kumbh has started. Although its formal announcement will likely be made in the coming days, the word Shahi has been removed from the programme released by the Akharas.
