The best of Australia's Airbnb hosts and their properties have been unveiled for 2024. Host of the Year was awarded to Tracey and Adrian in Queensland , who offer a stunning private getaway on the Sunshine Coast. The cozy studio is located in one of the most popular holiday destinations in Australia and visitors are even provided with complimentary kayaks for exploring local waterways throughout their stay.

We leave a personalised welcome message upon their check-in, along with complimentary chocolate, biscuits and bottled water (as well as the basics)," the hosts shared. Other award categories included Best Design Stay, Best Nature Stay and this year's newly created, Best Family Friendly Stay.
Recognising hosts who have gone above and beyond to ensure families have an amazing stay, that award went to Gemma and her vibrant Palm Springs-inspired beach house in Bogangar, New South Wales. The house includes a master bedroom with an ensuite, two queen bedrooms, and a fun bunk room for kids.
"We converted the garage into a Kid-Mecca, with playful built-in bunk beds and play lounge," Gemma explained. "[There are] pool toys, as well as a flat backyard for outdoor games. The front yard is Palm Springs-inspired with a fire pit for toasting marshmallows.

Host Shiyanti enjoys sharing home-cooked family meals with her guests and will even help organise scenic day trips. The annual Airbnb Host Awards shine a spotlight on hosts for the incredible work they do for guests and the benefits they bring to their wider communities.
