The AirAsia Aviation Group continues to spread its wings across the Asia-Pacific region, with its latest addition being the resumption of flights by Indonesia AirAsia between Bali and Darwin, the capital city of Australia's Northern Territory. For close to 50 years, Australians have had a love affair with Bali, the most popular tourist destination in Indonesia. AirAsia resumes another successful route On Wednesday, Indonesia AirAsia announced it is reconnecting the Northern Territory with Asia when it resumes flights between Bali and Darwin from March 22, 2025 .

The service will operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and bring more than 1,000 weekly seats, providing a significant boost to tourism and the local economies of both destinations. Indonesia AirAsia Flight QZ540 will depart Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) at 11:40 and arrive at Darwin International Airport (DRW) at 15:55. The return flight, QZ541, will leave Darwin at 16:35 and arrive in Bali at 17:55.



It will be operated by an Airbus A320-200 , one of 31 in the airline's all-Airbus fleet. Bali is now the airline's largest hub in terms of flight capacity, and these flights will open seamless and affordable connectivity to and from Darwin via Bali, making travel to other Asian destinations more accessible than ever . While Darwin is the closest Australian city to Asia, there are not always direct air connections, so when the route resumes in March, it will offer a very attractiv.
