Sunday, September 15, 2024 AirAsia continues to strengthen its connectivity between India and Malaysia, marking a significant milestone today with the inaugural flight from Lucknow to Kuala Lumpur. This new route is part of AirAsia’s commitment to enhancing travel options between the two countries, offering passengers greater flexibility and convenience. Flight AK14 touched down at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (Terminal 2) at 6:00 AM, carrying a strong passenger load, underscoring the demand for this route.
Onboard, passengers were treated to a warm reception by Dato’ Captain Fareh Mazputra , Managing Director of AirAsia Malaysia, alongside Mr. Mohamad Libra Lee Haniff , Senior Deputy Director of Tourism Malaysia. Representatives from Tourism Malaysia and a cheerful group of AirAsia Allstars welcomed travelers with exclusive goodie bags, reflecting the festive spirit of the occasion.
This new service from Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, highlights AirAsia’s dedication to connecting key Indian cities with Malaysia. With three weekly direct flights , the Lucknow route complements AirAsia’s existing network of Indian destinations, which already includes major cities like Chennai, Jaipur, Kochi, New Delhi, and Ahmedabad . By expanding these routes, AirAsia not only caters to the large Indian diaspora in Malaysia but also fosters tourism and business travel between the two countries.
