Wednesday, August 21, 2024 AirAsia Philippines is encouraging travelers to take full advantage of the upcoming long weekend by exploring their favorite domestic destinations or visa-free regional spots. To accommodate last-minute travel plans, the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline has launched its “Rain or Shine, Let’s Fly and Go” campaign, available for bookings until September 1. With a base fare of just PHP 127 for one-way trips, this promotion applies to all destinations, including AirAsia’s latest route to Nagoya, Japan, for travel starting this week until March 31, 2025.

AirAsia’s promotional offers and affordable fares have not only met the travel needs of their guests but have also significantly boosted the airline’s performance. From January to August 2024, AirAsia Philippines transported over 5 million passengers, with 85% of these bookings secured through popular promos like the double-digit PISO Sale and other discounted fare deals. In addition, AirAsia anticipates that the reduction of the Fuel Surcharge from Level 6 to Level 5 in September will greatly influence booking patterns.

This adjustment is expected to lower fuel surcharge costs by PHP 800 for international flights and PHP 542 for domestic flights, which will be reflected in ticket prices starting next month. “Filipinos are always keen on finding discounts, and any savings on airfares can be redirected towards hotels, dining, activities, or souvenirs,” Dailisan commented. Looking ahead, AirAsia aims to close 2024 with over 8 million passengers flown as it continues to operate 165 domestic and 71 international weekly flights.

The airline is committed to delighting passengers with world-class service, the finest inflight meals from Santan, and the most competitive airfares in the market. AirAsia also reminds passengers of the strict enforcement of their cabin baggage policy, which allows for a complimentary hand-carry baggage limit of 7 kg. This includes a combination of a small hand-carry item and a backpack or small luggage, ideal for quick getaways.
