Wednesday, August 14, 2024 Air India Express has unveiled six new daily flights, reinforcing its commitment to expanding its domestic network. The new routes include two from Kolkata, three from Chennai, and the airline’s inaugural direct flight connecting Guwahati and Jaipur. The newly launched flights will operate on the following routes: Chennai-Bhubaneswar, Chennai-Bagdogra, Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram, Kolkata-Varanasi, Kolkata-Guwahati, and Guwahati-Jaipur.

This expansion introduces five additional routes to the airline’s ever-growing network. The Kolkata-Varanasi flight is set to depart at 7:40 am, arriving in Varanasi at 9:05 am. The return flight will leave Varanasi at 9:40 am and land in Kolkata at 11:10 am daily.



Meanwhile, the Kolkata-Guwahati flight will depart at 12:10 pm, reaching Guwahati at 1:25 pm. The return flight will take off from Guwahati at 1:55 pm and arrive in Kolkata at 4:35 pm daily. In addition to these new routes, Air India Express has also increased the frequency of flights on the Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram route.

Previously operated with two weekly flights, this route will now offer daily service, providing a total of nine flights per week to accommodate growing passenger demand. With a fleet of 82 aircraft, including 54 Boeing 737s and 28 Airbus A320s, Air India Express operates over 380 daily flights. This latest expansion highlights the airline’s ongoing commitment to enhancing connectivity across India.
