Activate your Online Access Now Article content As of March 31, 2025, Ottawa jetsetters will have four weekly opportunities to board Air Canada’s Dreamliner, choosing from Signature, Premium Economy, or Economy class. By next summer, Air Canada will have 63 weekly departures to London across Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, Halifax, and the nation’s capital.

Heathrow Airport is home to Air Canada’s largest international operations. The Queen’s Terminal also hosts Star Alliance partners, connecting passengers to over 30 destinations across Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa. Mayor Mark Sutcliffe, who has been a vocal advocate for the route’s return, praised the move as a win for the local economy and ties between two world capitals.

“After a public appeal and some hard work from our airport and tourism leaders...

it’s a big win for our city,” he tweeted. “It will make it easier for residents to travel abroad, tourists to visit Ottawa, and businesses to launch and expand in our city,” he said in an attached press release. The reintroduction of the Ottawa-London route follows a five-year break, with Air Canada reportedly looking into the possibility of using newer, more efficient planes for the service in future.
