Friday, August 30, 2024 The Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) has officially announced the details of its highly anticipated Knowledge Program for the 2025 event. Set to be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) in February, this year’s theme, “We Matter!” is designed to celebrate and elevate the global business events industry as a powerful catalyst for economic growth. With a dynamic line-up of keynote speakers, industry leaders, and renowned professionals, AIME 2025 promises to be an event that not only educates but also inspires attendees to push the boundaries of what’s possible in the business events sector.

The Knowledge Program, hosted and curated by BEAM Founder El Kwang, is slated to launch AIME on 10 February 2025. This exclusive program will see contributions from AIME’s speaker bureau partners alongside industry business leaders who are expected to engage, educate, and inspire the 1,600 global event professionals attending the opening day of AIME 2025. With an overarching theme of “We Matter!”, the Knowledge Program aims to highlight the significance of the business events industry as a driver of global economic growth, while also creating a platform for meaningful dialogue on the future of the industry.

A central component of AIME 2025’s Knowledge Program is the involvement of the Knowledge Program Advisory Committee. This committee, composed of eight leaders from the Asia Pacific meetings and events industry, is tasked with guiding the development of the Knowledge Program’s topics and speakers. The committee’s goal is to ensure that the program not only sparks interest and debate but also engages all areas of the events industry, offering valuable insights and actionable strategies that attendees can implement in their own work.

The 2025 Advisory Committee is an impressive assembly of industry experts. It includes: Together, this diverse group of professionals brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table, ensuring that the Knowledge Program is both relevant and forward-thinking. El Kwang, who is once again leading the Knowledge Program’s curation, expressed his enthusiasm for the 2025 theme.

“As the program takes shape with the theme We Matter!, we are filled with optimism and anticipation for the outstanding speaker contributions that will emerge in the coming months. Together, we are creating a platform that not only reflects our collective strength but also propels our industry forward with purpose and confidence,” Kwang stated. This year’s theme is particularly timely, as the global business events industry continues to recover and rebuild in the wake of the pandemic.

By focusing on the importance of the industry in driving economic growth, AIME 2025 is positioning itself as a key event for professionals looking to stay ahead of industry trends and challenges. Silke Calder, AIME Event Director, highlighted the importance of the Knowledge Program within the broader AIME experience. “We are thrilled to once again collaborate with El Kwang and his talented content curators at BEAM, who have brought together this year’s esteemed content advisory committee of industry leaders,” Calder said.

“My team and I are profoundly grateful to share a vision of delivering meaningful content with such distinguished experts, all made possible by the generosity of our partners.” The Knowledge Program has become a cornerstone of the AIME experience, providing attendees with the opportunity to learn from the best in the business while also networking with peers from around the world. For 2025, the program is expected to be even more impactful, thanks to the expanded involvement of global industry leaders and the focus on the theme “We Matter!” AIME 2025 is set to be a significant event, with an expanded footprint at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The event will host more than 600 exhibitors, 650 hosted buyers, and is expected to facilitate over 20,000 meetings on the show floor. This growth is a testament to AIME’s importance in the global business events calendar and its role in connecting international and local buyers with world-class exhibitors from across the Asia Pacific and beyond. In a first for AIME, the global exhibitions association UFI will co-locate its 2025 Asia-Pacific Conference with AIME at MCEC.

The UFI event will follow AIME on 13-14 February 2025, further cementing Melbourne’s position as a hub for global business events and offering additional opportunities for networking and learning.
