The Atal Incubation Centre (AIC) NIFT-TEA Incubation Centre in Tiruppur, which has been identified by the Central and State governments for fostering startups with mentorship support, has accorded a push for broad-basing investments in technical textiles. Aligned to the incubation centre’s activities to bring about growth in the textile and apparel industry, startups recently showcased a range of eco-friendly innovations, including salt-free dyeing technologies, natural dyeing methods, packaging materials made from fabric waste, and natural, biodegradable sanitary napkins for women. One standout innovation highlighted cutting-edge method for separating and reusing salt and chemicals from textile dyeing wastewater.

According to faculty of NIFT-TEA College of Knitwear Fashion, the incubation centre, with its state-of-the-art infrastructure, including advanced machinery, cutting-edge laboratories, and access to a global network of experts, has become a hub for innovation and excellence. The AIC NIFT-TEA has made strides in textile technologies, improving production processes, and enhancing supply chain management, the faculty added.
