The African Tourism Board (ATB) has officially endorsed Honorable Harry Theoharis, a distinguished Greek national, for the position of Secretary-General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) for the 2026-2029 term. This endorsement reflects his extensive experience, innovative leadership, and commitment to global tourism development, with a special focus on advancing Africa’s tourism potential. A Proven Leader in Tourism and Beyond Harry Theoharis’s impressive career includes senior roles across technology, consulting, and finance, along with a tenure as Greece’s Minister of Tourism from 2019 to 2021.
