The absolute best way to improve your heroes in is through ascension. Your characters start out at a certain “tier” or “rarity” and you can upgrade this through the use of soul sigils (duplicates of the heroes) and acorns, both of which are normally found through gacha pulls. The cost of moving to the next tier varies based on the type (or level or actual rarity) of the hero, as well as what tier you’re improving to.
You’ll most likely just be improving your best heroes as the resources become available. However, to make it clear what you’ll need for each tier, you’re looking at: Note that the Soul Sigils have to match the character or general use ones that match their level. Acorns have to match their faction, but Omni-Acorns can be used for any character.
Ascending your hero also unlocks new skills. At Legendary+, they receive their Focus Force. At Mythic+, their EX skill.
