The release was announced today (October 7), according to Korea JoongAng Daily , and will be released on October 9. aespa’s EP will include four solo songs, one from each of the members, all of which were first previewed and performed at their ongoing 2024 to 2025 ‘SYNK: Parallel Line’ world tour .
‘SYNK: Parallel Line’ will include Karina’s ‘Up’, which was co-written by the singer, according to SM Entertainment . Other songs on the EP include Giselle’s ‘Dopamine’, Winter’s ‘Spark’ and NingNing’s ‘Bored!’. aespa are also gearing up to release a new mini-album call ‘Whiplash’ later this month .
It will follow their first studio album ‘Armageddon’, which cae out in May and featured the hit single ‘Supernova’. The quartet also recently collaborated with Canadian musician Grimes on a remix of the song. In a four-star review of ‘Armageddon’ , NME ’s Rhian Daly praised its “supremely confident tracks that more than scratch the itch for the experimental pop aespa do so well”.
