Cancun, Q.R. — Cancun will have another route added to its busy 2024 holiday travel season with a direct Miami flight.

The daily flight by Aeromexico will begin December 19, 2024. With this new operation, Aeroméxico will be operating 10 daily flights in Florida, connecting Miami, Orlando and Tampa Bay. In a press release Monday, the airline said in alliance with Delta Air Lines, starting on December 19, Aeroméxico will begin direct operations between Cancun International Airport (CUN) and Miami International Airport (MIA).



This new service will complement Aeroméxico’s current offering in Miami, where it already offers five daily frequencies from Mexico City, and will be the airline’s fourth route in the state of Florida, adding to the service in Orlando and Tampa from the capital of Mexico. In total, the airline will be operating around 140 weekly arrivals and departures in Florida, which means an offer of up to 24,500 seats per week. The itinerary will offer Cancun – Miami 11:10 a.

and Miami – Cancun 07:55 a.m. 09:55 a.

m. The flights will be operated with 737 MAX 8 aircraft with capacity for 166 passengers: 16 in the Premier Cabin, 18 in AM Plus and 132 in the Tourist Cabin. This state-of-the-art aircraft model has advanced technology winglets that reduce fuel consumption, as well as aerodynamic efficiency that reduces the emission of pollutants.

It includes a comprehensive onboard entertainment system and offers high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity that provides a unique travel experience for customers. This new flight to the United States is also possible thanks to the Joint Cooperation Agreement (JCA) with Delta, whose objective is to offer more and better connectivity between both countries. With the start of the route between Cancun and Miami, the Aeromexico-Delta alliance will jointly serve more than 65 routes between Mexico and the United States, operating more than 180 departures and arrivals daily, which represents an average offer of 31,000 seats per day.
