In December 2024, Aeromexico saw a 3.6% decrease in domestic passengers compared to the previous year. The domestic market, which has been facing challenges, recorded 1.

4 million passengers. This drop was partially offset by a 2.5% increase in international passenger traffic, with 769,000 international travelers flying with Aeromexico.

The airline’s international growth reflects a recovery in demand for international travel, while the decline in domestic traffic highlights the ongoing challenges within Mexico’s domestic aviation sector. Aeromexico’s total capacity, measured in available seat kilometers (ASKs), decreased by 3.0% in December 2024.

Domestic capacity dropped by 7.0%, while international capacity showed a smaller decrease of 1.3%.
