Jets star wideout Garrett Wilson made one of the most spectacular grabs of the past few NFL seasons on Thursday Night Football. Not only was it a pivotal touchdown grab, but Wilson made the Jumpman pose when he hauled in the spectacular grab. Following the game, Jets teammate Davante Adams joked that Wilson was going to sign with the Jumpman brand.
Adidas definitely heard that, and decided to fire back. They issued their own press release, in joking fashion. “Following Garett Wilson’s ‘catch of the year’ last night in East Rutherford, New Jersey, adidas releases response to questions about his future partnership plans: “He can jump, man! Garrett’s not going anywhere.

com/xL6ugrZvDr There is perhaps no other catch in NFL history that’s as perfect for the Jumpman brand as Wilson’s on Thursday Night Football. It was nearly identical to the Jumpman logo and plenty of different users on social media made graphics of it. It’s not surprising for Adidas to make a quick response.
Wilson went up and pulled down a pass from Aaron Rodgers with one hand and somehow managed to stay in bounds. The officials initially ruled him out, but replay review showed his shin hit the ground before his knee – meaning it was a touchdown, giving the Jets a 14-10 lead. There were shades of Beckham’s catch 2015 catch at MetLife Stadium when he reached back with one hand and hauled in a catch for the ages.
