RAIPUR: Former Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel Friday demanded that Centre file an FIR against 'Adani' and insisted that the allegations in the US indictment didn't pertain to Congress govt's tenure. At a presser, Baghel said, "Rahul Gandhi has already called for probes by ED and CBI into allegations against Adani Group . We stand by the demand.
" Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh CM's media advisor, Pankaj Kumar Jha, accused Baghel of spreading falsehoods, pointing out that the deal referenced in the US documents took place in 2021, during Congress govt's tenure in Chhattisgarh. "Ever since US's revelations about Adani's alleged corruption, reactions have flooded in from ministers & BJP spokespersons to defend Adani, which makes Adani-Modi connection clear," Baghel said.
