Actress Georgia Flood reveals 'hysterical' behind the scenes moment while filming Stan's fantasy series Nautilus

EXCLUSIVE: Aussie actress Georgia Flood's leading role in Stan's swashbuckling action series Nautilus has been likened to that of Keira Knightley's character Elizabeth Swann in Pirates of the Caribbean.Speaking to 9Entertainment, the 30-year-old was chuffed to hear the comparison."She's so luminous, I love her in fact she was one of my inspirations," Flood said.Stream episodes of Nautilus, only on Stan. Nautilus puts an epic spin on Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, telling the story from Captain Nemo's point of view: an Indian Prince robbed of his birthright and family, a prisoner of the East India Mercantile Company and a man bent on revenge.Flood plays Humility Lucas, a young female engineer who also happens to be the privileged daughter of the British Empire who is taken hostage aboard the ship.Much like Knightley's character Elizabeth Swann, Humility has an adventurous spirit and the need to break social boundaries. At the start of filming there was a lot of improvisation and collaboration with the director and other cast members," Flood said."That really let us and the characters find our feet."While Flood settled quite easily into the role of Humility Lucas, filming did present some other challenges, especially one scene in particular."Obviously we're in the ocean, but a lot but behind the scenes it's just a huge water tank that has half of the Nautilus ship submerged in it," Flood explained."Celine [Menville who plays Loti] and I spent all day running up and down the ship in our tight corsets and weighted skirts with fake pellets shooting at us in the 40-degree heat filming in the Gold Coast in January."By the end of it you kind of just go a bit mad, and I just remember ending the day in hysterical fits of laughter.
