Solomon Odeniyi,Abuja President Bola Tinubu on Thursday said that Nigeria has been leading the global search for solutions to the devastations of climate change. Tinubu stated that achieving international climate goals and reducing greenhouse gas emissions requires a collective effort from every individual and stakeholder. The president who was represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima spoke during the unveiling of the Nigeria Police’s Green Initiative in Abuja.

He said, “Nigeria has been at the forefront of the global search for solutions to the devastations of climate change. We have always known that we cannot reach the target of aligning with international climate goals and reducing greenhouse gas emissions unless each person and stakeholder lives up to their obligation. “ Tinubu noted that his administration has been working to ensure the country meets its climate goals by creating a carbon market valued at $2.
