In a significant development, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted a raid early this morning at the residence of former YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) minister Jogi Ramesh in Ibrahimpatnam. The raid is part of an ongoing investigation into an alleged land scam involving Agrigold properties, in which Ramesh is reportedly a prime suspect. The allegations against Ramesh stem from his tenure as the Housing Minister, during which he is accused of misusing his position to illegally acquire Agrigold lands that were under the custody of the Crime Investigation Department (CID).

These lands, allegedly seized by the CID, were reportedly sold by Ramesh and his family after being divided into plots, generating profits worth crores. The investigation gained momentum following a complaint filed by Agrigold authorities, prompting the ACB to scrutinize various documents and records at Ramesh’s residence. Reports suggest that multiple members of his family may also be implicated in the scam.

Last month, Jogi Ramesh had expressed concerns about a potential arrest related to the Agrigold land scam and another incident involving vandalism at a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) office. In response, he had approached the state High Court seeking anticipatory bail. The ACB's raid today marks a critical point in the investigation, with further developments expected as the probe continues.
