Friday, August 23, 2024 Abu Dhabi Airports, the operator of the Emirate’s five airports, has proudly unveiled the addition of three new direct routes by the prominent Indian airline, IndiGo. These new connections will link Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) to Mangaluru (IXE), Tiruchirappalli (TRZ), and Coimbatore (CJB) in India. This strategic expansion significantly enhances the existing network between Abu Dhabi and crucial destinations across India, elevating the total number of IndiGo-operated routes to 13.
This development comes at a time when Abu Dhabi Airports has reported a remarkable 33.5% surge in passenger traffic during the first half of the year. The introduction of these new routes is expected to further fuel this growth by offering improved connectivity and added convenience for travelers.
The expansion underlines Abu Dhabi’s commitment to strengthening its position as a key hub for international travel, especially with its growing ties to India, a vital market for both business and leisure travel.
