Stree 3 is already on the way. The third installment in the Stree franchise was in the works even before Stree 2 released. And now, after the blockbuster success of Stree 2 , the third movie is definitely a given.
Recently, in a new interview with The Indian Express, actor Abhishek Banerjee, who plays Janaa in the franchise – and is the link between the horror comedy films Stree , Stree 2 , Bhediya , and Munjya – has provided an update on Stree 3 . According to Banerjee, the movie’s screenplay is already written, promising it to be a “big epic saga.” A post shared by Maddock Films (@maddockfilms) For those who don’t know, there was a six year gap between the release of Stree and Stree 2 .
However, fans will most likely not have to wait that long for the third movie. Director Amar Kaushik will be back helming the project for the third time. Kaushik also directed Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya .
Talking about Stree 2 , Banerjee said that making the movie will take time, but not as much as Stree 2 did. Banerjee said, “It will take time. Now that Stree 2 has become such a big hit, I know that it won’t take six years to make it, like we did with Stree 2 .
That’s for sure. Some parts of the script are already written. It is going to be a big epic saga and as an actor I am dying to be back on that set.
” Meanwhile, Aparshakti Khurana, who plays Bittu in the franchise, said, “ Stree 3 ’s frame was ready long back, much before Stree 2 released, and now we are waiting for the film producer Dinesh Vijan and director Amar Kaushik to give more details.” Also, according to reports, Stree 3 will have a bigger ensemble cast, with Akshay Kumar playing the super villain, and Tamannah Bhatia, Rashmika Mandanna, and Ayushmann Khurrana entering the horror comedy universe of Maddock Films. It is expected to be released in 2025.

It also tells you what the connections are, and what comes next. After Stree 2 would be a film called Thama , which we’ll tell you about later. We have already written Stree 3 , so the gap will be less.
One thing I can tell you about Stree 2 is, it is bigger, madder, and crazier. The trailer is only 10 per cent because it has a lot of visual effects in it, and we want to leave that for the theater. But if you come in, it is Maddock’s most paisa vasool film.
