It’s now official, beloved comedies “Abbott Elementary” and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” are set to do a crossover episode. The confirmation follows several social media posts by show stars/creators Quinta Brunson and Rob McElhenney which hinted at the possibility. Those included photos of cast members from both shows posing together in photos outside the Warner Bros.

lot studio for “Abbott”. Both shows air are set in Philadelphia and both air on Disney outlets – namely ABC for ‘Abbott’ and FX for ‘Sunny’ – so a crossover is in the realm of possibility. Brunson previously teased the team-up during the awards show circuit this Summer, saying a big crossover was happening but not saying which show – only that the deals were done.



“Abbott Elementary” returns for its fourth season on October 9th, while “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” will film its seventeenth season this Fall. Source: ,.
