Carter aged 34 died on November 5 , 2022, when he was found drowned in a bathtub by a housekeeper - less than a year after he welcomed his son with fiance Melanie Martin . The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner later ruled it an accidental death and determined that he had drowned after inhaling difluoroethane, a refrigerant contained in compressed air canisters used for dusting, and taking generic Xanax. Martin detailed the 'baseless' accusations to TMZ and said both she and Prince, who will turn three in November - have received 'death threats and other forms of harassment' over the years.
