The collection of both menswear and womenswear features three elements – “AAPE SKATE” and “AAPE HIP-HOP” for men, and “AAPE FANTASY” for women.
“AAPE SKATE” pulls from the creative and rebellious spirit of American skate culture, using hand drawn-graffiti prints, color block plaid patterns, and fish-eye motion blur design elements. From plush and reversible jackets to capri pants, the skate collection uses a bold color palette to showcase the essence of the brand’s defiant and daring sensibility. “AAPE HIP-HOP” follows a similar dauntless nature with its inspiration.
Following the free-spirited but innovative history of hip-hop, this collection leans on the theatrics of the genre’s visual culture. Utilizing AAPE’s signature desert camo and faux animal print paired with cement tones of black gray and brown, the line is inspired by the stage attire of hip-hop’s rappers. With bomber jackets, hoodies, knit set, and denim staples, the collection empowers wearers to embrace the nonchalance of the next generation.
