Now the infamous BBC Newsnight interview between presenter Emily Maitlis and Prince Andrew , which led in part to the royal’s resignation from public duties, has been made into a three-part drama by Amazon’s Prime Video. Written by Jeremy Brock and with Maitlis as executive producer, the show will premiere this week just six months after Netflix’s Scoop which also covered the interview.
However, unlike Scoop which was a dramatic retelling of securing the interview and filming it, A Very Royal Scandal will focus on Maitlis’s take on the events leading up to the interview, the event itself and the aftermath for both her and Prince Andrew. When is A Very Royal Scandal out? All three episodes of A Very Royal Scandal will premiere on Thursday 19 September exclusively on Prime Video in the US and UK.
