Monday, September 16, 2024 In celebration of World Tourism Day , Robinsons Hotels and Resorts (RHR) is honoring the hardworking professionals of the tourism industry with exclusive discounts. In collaboration with the Department of Tourism (DOT) , RHR is offering special promotions from September 3 to October 7, 2024 , as a token of gratitude to those who help drive the tourism sector forward. World Tourism Day, celebrated globally on September 27 , serves as a reminder of the industry’s significant role in the economy, culture, and environment.

This year’s theme highlights responsible travel , support for local communities , and the promotion of sustainable tourism practices . The day unites tourism organizations, governments, and travelers in envisioning the future of tourism. “World Tourism Day is a time to recognize the people who make the tourism industry flourish,” said Barun Jolly , Senior Vice President and Business Unit Head of Robinsons Hotels and Resorts.



“Through our partnership with DOT, we want to highlight the beauty and vibrancy of the Philippines while giving back to tourism workers with exclusive promotions.” Robinsons Hotels and Resorts is offering 20% off the prevailing Best Available Rate for non-DOT-accredited tourism enterprises and 25% off for DOT-accredited enterprises across its 30 properties nationwide. This includes Go Hotels , Go Hotels Plus , Summit Hotels , and Grand Summit Hotels .

For a more luxurious experience, travelers can enjoy the same discounts at Westin Manila , Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria , Holiday Inn Manila Galleria , Fili Nustar Cebu , and Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu with a minimum two-night stay. These offers are available through walk-ins, emails, and direct calls to the properties. Tourism workers must present a valid work ID, and for an additional 5% discount , proof of their or their employer’s DOT accreditation is required.

Bookings are available until October 7 , with stays valid through October 8, 2024 . In conjunction with these promotions, DOT-NCR launched the “Into the Heart of the City” campaign, featuring an audiovisual presentation that showcases Metro Manila’s diverse culture, historical landmarks, and local life. The campaign aims to inspire both domestic and international travelers while offering tourism workers a chance to deepen their knowledge of the city, enhancing their ability to provide exceptional guest experiences.
